Connecting Discord and Patreon

Connecting a Discord account to Patreon enables access to Discord servers associated with active Patreon memberships and assigns roles based on the corresponding membership tiers. This document describes how to link a Discord account to Patreon using Patreon's Connected Apps settings.

Open Patreon's Connected Apps​

Navigate to Patreon and click the Settings button on the left side of the page.

In the settings menu, click the More... dropdown menu.

Select Connected Apps from the dropdown menu.

The Connected Apps page lists third-party services that can be linked to a Patreon account to provide roles, server access, or other membership-related features.

Connect a Discord Account​

On the Connected Apps page, click the Discord integration entry.

Click the Connect button to begin linking the Discord account to Patreon.

If you are not already signed in to Discord, a Discord login prompt appears.

On the Discord authorization screen, review the requested permissions and click Authorize to grant Patreon access to the Discord account.

After authorization completes, the Discord account name appears in the Connected Apps panel. Discord servers associated with active Patreon memberships can now assign roles and grant access based on the linked membership tiers.
